Photography
By Wendy Pickard
Hi all! This is just to say thanks to my followers. Because of you I started updating some information. This is not an educational article, or is it designed to gain points. I guess you could say it is a means to express myself. Thanks for being fans! Your comments sparked my interest in updating some information regarding my direction in photography. It has been quite a while since I visited Qondio so a lot has been going on in the last 18 months. I have become immersed in photography and I will be taking some of my first professional photographs in a few weeks. Troop Real Estate, the company I work for, has many offices and the office in Ventura County has invited me to talk with them about updating some of their agents' professional photos. I'm pretty excited about that because, as I mentioned before, photography is my first love. An example of my work is the updated self-photograph that I just posted today. I have been practicing on myself, experimenting with poses, lighting etc. to prepare for the real thing. I am also into macro so I have included some of those shots as well. You can see many more of my pictures here http://lifes-reflections.deviantart.com/ Just like anything worthwhile, one must practice, practice, practice to become proficient. I have found that my skills in photography and photoshop have improved tremendously in the last 18 months. Photography is very gratifying and without a doubt, demanding. You must have patience, be super aware of detail, composition, lighting, exposure and very subtle nuances in order to create a feeling or evoke emotion. It is tremendously rewarding when you finally get it right, especially with infants and children. To capture the innocence and joy in children is absolute joy in itself. To share what you are able to capture with the parents or other appreciative individuals is another kind of satisfaction. Thanks for visiting and I invite all your comments! Wendy |

Thanks Frederick! Don't know how much time I will spend here because I have gotten pretty busy in getting my photography career going. I'm very excited about it because this is where my heart and soul is. To do something I absolutely love has been a dream of mine and I am finally in a position to pursue that! Wendy
Hi Wendy! I think it's great! Pursue your passion. That's what it's all about.
