Gardens of the World
Thousand Oaks, California is located in Ventura County between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara. It is a town of 128,000 that is family oriented and has at least 1000 Oaks :) I say that with a smile because I am a Realtor and share information about the community. One of the things that people find very interesting about Thousand Oaks is our grand oak trees. They are tagged with metal tags and numbered. There are large penalties for cutting them down or even trimming them without a city permit. Of course, almost without fail, my clients ask me "are there a thousand?" Heck if I know!!!! As you drive along Thousand Oaks Blvd. in Thousand Oaks California, approaching the Civic Arts Center, look to the North side of the street. There it is! Gardens of the World. 5 beautiful gardens of the world await your visit. There is no charge to visit these beautiful, peaceful grounds donated for your viewing pleasure by the Hogan family of Thousand Oaks. The flowers are in full bloom so be sure and bring your camera. I recently visited the gardens and would like to share by springtime pictures of the flowers and fountains. Come and visit our beautiful community if you are in the area or on your way up the Coast. By the way the Civic Arts Plaza has 2 auditoriums where theater, music, ballet and many other events take place. |
